Somewhere in the Forest of Illusion, Mario was waiting under a ? Block just as the loading bar on screen was filling up. Once it was finished loading, Mario then jump punches the block from underneath as what came out of it was a white-green dotted egg which hatches to revile Yoshi who jumps down from the block and gives Mario the signal to let him on as the plumber agrees and jumps onto Yoshi’s back as the Dinosaur takes off with speed with the plumber riding him through the forest.

As the scene shifts to the right at fast speed, we see Mario and Yoshi just as the Dinosaur then jumps ahead and out of sight.

                                                                       Super Mario Bros Z

Narrator: Last time on Super Mario Bros Z, after Sonic told Mario and friends of his backstory, they set off to locate the Chaos Emeralds which may be in the clutches of Smithy’s high top minions. First, they stop by at Professor E-Gadd’s to have themselves equipped with the new Emerald Radar 3DS while also using the Sky Pop to reach their first destination which appears to be Nimbus Land. On their way, they were suddenly blocked off by a strong storm surrounding Nimbus Land within as our heroes fell towards Bean Valley. After crash landing however, they were then attacked by a pack of Piranha Plants until the arrival of an old friend of Mario’s came along; who turns out to be Prince Mallow of Nimbus Land. As Mallow leads the heroes to the safe route across the valley to reach the beanstalk connecting to Nimbus Land, they soon find the same Piranha Plant pack that attacked them as they were being led by Petey Piranha. At the same time, the Heroes locate another one of Sonic’s missing friends which turns out to be Amy just as they saved her before she became a Piranha’s snack. As our heroes fight off Petey and his pack, the big Piranha Plant monster then uses his new trump card by eating four Fire Flowers as he began a transformation. What plan has this Piranha have for Mario and his team? Find out today… on Super Mario Bros Z!

Climbing Up the Beanstalk into the Stormy Cloud!!!

                                                                            *Giant Land, Bean Valley*

The bright light from Petey Piranha was still giving off the reaction of his transformation as Mario and the group cover their eyes from the blinding light and shock waves of dust clouds until it ended with a flaming explosion as it now shows Petey’s new form with his red-white dotted head now in the colour of ash-black with red dots, pale dark-green lips and also grew a tail with a brown round club which was on fire.

Petey: Oh-hohohohoho!!! How fabulous do I look to you all now? Meet the new and improved me! Firey Petey Piranha!

Luigi: Firey Petey…?

Mario: You think changing yourself with those Fire Flowers is going to-a-help you? I’ve deal with these things before even when I use Power-Ups. (He then jumps forward towards Petey.)

Petey: Yes, that’s true! But, you wouldn’t expect me to do THIS!!! (As Mario comes in to attack with a Hammer Punch, Petey blocks the attack with his leaf hands which are then caught on fire as the flames also catch Mario who is then caught on fire while yelling in pain as Petey then Head-Butts the plumber; sending him flying and crashing into one of the tall steep hills of brown grass.)

The others were then shocked by this as Petey then turns his attention to them which scares Luigi as he hides behind Shadow while shivering.

Petey: Besides Mario, you all might be perfect for a bigger meal me and my darlings can feast on for tonight’s supper!

Mallow: Eww!!! No way I want to be chewed up by that guy! I’ll melt in his hot mouth like a marshmallow!

Shadow: Which is what you look like, kid!

Mallow: Hay!

Sonic: You’ll have to catch us first, because no way we end up in your belly!

Just then, Mario jumps out of hill as he lands on his feet and looks towards where the others were.

Luigi: Mario, are-a-you okay?

Mario: I’m-a-alright! But be careful! Petey’s new form is-a-no joke!

Sonic: He’s right! Better watch out for whatever that plant throws at us!

As all heroes take their fighting poses, Petey does his while giving off a loud roar and breathing fire up in the air at the same time as another battle was about to unfold.

                                                                                   READY…

                                                                                 FIGHT!!!

The battle begins as the heroes rush towards Petey Piranha who then makes a big jump into the air to take flight as Mario and Luigi jump up to go after him. As Mario comes in with a punch, Petey blocks it and hits him back while Luigi attacks from behind with his Hammer which does hit the Piranha Plant, but for him to have his attention turned to him and whacks the plumber away with his leaf hand. Sonic then comes in with a Spin Dash which hits Petey in the back just as Yoshi comes up and throws Sonic again three times at Petey just before the Hedgehog then tires a straight kick, but gets caught as Petey puts him in his mouth and spits him back at Yoshi. Shadow also comes in as he attacks Petey in all places before knocking down with a changed-up Chaos Spear attack. As Petey is sent falling, he gets a hold of himself while rolling as he makes a shockwave after landing hard on the ground as it heads for Mallow and Luigi who jump out of the way as they move in to attack with Hammer Swing and Stick Whacking as Petey blocks them off with his leafs just before using his tail to slam into the two which sends them flying back. Mario then makes a hard landing stomp on Petey’s head followed by Sonic’s Bounce Ball attack as Mario jumps high up to where Sonic bounced up to and hits him hard into Petey again like a volley ball before the Hedgehog then attacks with mid-air rapid kicking. Just then however, Petey goes into a Tornado Spin which captures Sonic within just as the Piranha Plant creates flames around himself; forming a fire cyclone as it releases small ones towards the other heroes as they dodge except for Luigi and Mallow who get caught in then before they exploded and send them flying backwards. Mario and Shadow move in to attack as the Plumber does a mid-air Hammer Spin while the Hedgehog uses his jet shows to fly head-on while covered in red aura as they move towards the flaming cyclone and hit Petey hard with their Hammer and Kick attack. This also frees Sonic who falls as he was weakened by the attack just as Petey then grabs both Mario and Shadow and jumps up high as he then takes a dive towards the earth while rolling forward just as he then has the two heroes pushed towards the ground as they hit hard. Yoshi then tackles into Petey’s face really hard to get him off the others just as Luigi and Mallow came to Mario and Shadow to check if they were fine as the young Nimbus uses HP Rain on the two to get them back up with strength again. As Yoshi pushes Petey back, he was then backed off by the Piranha Plant who then attacks with a rolling tail slam which knocks Yoshi away just before Sonic comes by with rapid Spin Attacking all over the Piranha before he then uses Sonic Wave while in mid-air to send Petey flying and hitting into a nearby hill. As Mallow finishes healing up the others, Shadow gets up and runs off to keep fighting Petey while Luigi helps Mario up.

Luigi: Tell me you’re-a-alright, Bro!

Mario: Am now! But Petey has gotten a liege of his own not to mention his-a-fire powers are powerful enough to crisp us alive.

Luigi: If we haven’t of lost our Power-ups when falling, we could have no trouble stopping!

Mallow: Wait a second! I think I remember seeing something falling from the sky I gotten before I found you guys! This wouldn’t be yours by any chance now would it, Mario? (Mallow takes out what looks and resembles a fire flower, but was blue instead of red as Mario and Luigi were surprised and shocked.)

Mario and Luigi: YOU HAD A POWER-UP THIS WHOLE TIME!?

Mario: Quick Mallow, hurry and give it here! I might know one trick that can stop Petey!

Back during the battle, Shadow had jumped back as he then uses another Chaos Spear which he fires at Petey only to then be blocked by the Piranha Plants Fire Ball he spits out as both attacks collide and create a dust cloud. Sonic and Yoshi move into to attack Petey from each side, but are then blocked by the Piranha Plant’s leafs which then catch on fire again as it also catches the two heroes in flames just as they are soon grabbed by him. As Petey jumps towards Shadow, he uses his warping ability to dodge the incoming Piranha Plant and appears behind him to attack, but is whacked by his tail and sent flying as he falls across the ground before he is then pin down by the Piranha Plant’s foot. Petey was about to eat the others starting with Yoshi as the young Dinosaur struggles to brake free as he panics. Suddenly, a ball of ice hits into Petey which knocks him back as well as letting go of Sonic and Yoshi who fall to the ground. As the three heroes gotten up, they look over to the right to find that it was Mario who just saved them as well as showing that he was now Ice Mario after using the Ice Fallow which not only turns his red hat and undershirt to light blue colour or changes his blue overalls to red, but also grants him ice powers.

Mario: You guys-a-alright?

Sonic: We are now! Thanks Mario!

Mario and the others then turn their attention back to Petey who shacks off from the attack before looking back at the heroes while giving off a grin with angry teeth showing.

Petey: Bah! So you’re using a puny Power-Up just like me. It still won’t help you with what I’m using to roast you alive and eat the flesh off your bones!

Mario: Ture! But… Power-Ups not just defeat any enemy you just fight, you learn by discovering the opponent’s weakness on what one really works. Let-a-me show you!

Petey only gave off another roar as three of his remaining Piranha Plant minions come to him.

Petey: I will not lose! Show him my darlings!

The Piranha Plants rush their way over to Mario to attack as one comes close to bite the plumber, but dodges it as he kicks it aside just the other comes in only to be given an upper kick in the chin while the last one was then given an Ice Ball thrown into the moth which made its head turn blue with brain freeze as it screams before Luigi comes in and Hammer Slams it into the ground. Petey then attacks from a distances as he the spits a Fireball towards where the heroes where as they jumped out of the way while Mario jumps forward ahead and was close enough to Petey as he attacks by punching his fist forward which throws a ball of ice which knocks Petey back further as he rolls backwards before getting back on his feet. Mario then lands as he then throws forward more Ice Balls by pushing each palm of his hand out forward as Petey then defends himself using his fire leaf hands, but were then in a few seconds put out by the ice as he begun to take the damage Mario was throwing at him. Just then, Sonic and Shadow pass by Mario as they then attack the dazed Petey as Sonic first jumps and does an Axe Kick on the top of the Piranha Plant’s head while Shadow goes for the tail by kicking it back hard as it then slings back and hits Petey’s head from behind. Yoshi then comes in jumping towards Petey’s belly and kicks into it just as he then gives Mallow the Signal to use Thunder Bolt which hits Petey as Mario then gets behind him and uses an Ice Ball to put out the fire on the tail as he then grabs hold of it and begins to spin Petey around and around like a tornado before throwing him towards a hill he hits into while he then lands on his feet. Luigi, Sonic and Shadow then look at each other and nod as they then use their long range charged up attacks of Thunderhand, Sonic Wave and Chaos Spear separately as they all hit Petey with hard force.

Petey: falls to his knees: How… How!?

Mario: then walks in as he then decides to give Petey the finishing blow as he then charges up another Ice Ball before he then launches it ahead.

The attack hits Petey as an explosion of ice and mist covers the air before it then clears to show that Petey had now become frozen solid in a block of ice as well as the spot he was on had been covered in ice and snow as well.

The heroes then show off with poses of victory while Shadow only stood looking down with his hands on his hips. Mario then goes back into his normal form and puts the Ice Flower away safely as he and the heroes regroup.

Luigi: Whew… Oh man, that took a little longer to get out of this mess!

Mario: Thanks Mallow, for finding that Ice Flower!

Mallow: Sure thing Mario! I’m glad I could really help you guys in defeating that big mean Piranha Plant.

Starlow: Hi-Yellow!

Just then, Starlow shows up with Tails and Amy who just came back.

Starlow: We just saw a big bang of ice in the air and came running back to you guys just as we saw Petey over there all freeze up.

Sonic: Mario used an Ice Flower and stopped that that thing in its tracks. But I think it’s thanks to the kid here that he found it for him otherwise we be that guy’s dinner!

Mallow: Aww! You’re making me blush!

Yoshi: Oh hay, what about those guys who Petey got tied up?

Tails: We freed them all and gotten them to a safe place away from the battle.

Amy: Now that we have a moment, how did you guys know where I was, Sonic?

Sonic: How did we know? We didn’t! We were on our way to begin looking for the Chaos Emeralds and find you and everyone else, but no way I expected you to be here of all places.

Tails: And to be caught by a pack of man-eating plants!

Amy: Oh fooy! And I thought you came here to save me as well as Cream and Big!

Sonic: Cream and Big? They were with you?

Amy: Well yeah! We ended up on a place that looked like being up in the sky just as we were then attacked by what looked like those robots who invaded our world.

Mallow: You mean you landed on my homeland and got attacked by the Smithy Gang?

Amy: Smithy Gang?

Sonic: They’re the metal heads who invaded our home and taken the Chaos Emeralds as well as being old enemies of Mario here!

Mario: It’s-a-true!

Shadow: I hate to interrupt all this talking, but shouldn’t the kid here be leading us the way to Nimbus Land about now?

Mallow: Oh yes! I’d almost forgotten all about that! The Warp Pipe to the Beanstalk is over there like I said it would be! Let’s go everyone!

As Mallow leads the way, Mario and his team follow as Amy also joins the party as they head towards the Warp Pipe and hop into it one at a time. A moment later, the group of heroes all jump out of the pipe with Mario, Yoshi, Sonic Tails and Shadow landing safely while Luigi, Mallow and Amy only fall out when gotten pushed, but got just as Starlow shows up last as the group then look for where the beanstalk was.

Mallow: Here we are everyone.

Sonic: You sure it’s here, kid?

Mallow: Right there. (What Mallow points towards as everyone look towards was a floating block like every other that are around the world.)

Luigi: Inside that block?

Mario: It’s a true I’m afraid.

Mallow: So you care to do the honours, Mario?

Mario then gives Mallow a node in saying yes as he then walks up to the block and jumps up to hit it from underneath as a green vine with small leaves and Piranha Plant-like head that was also green with yellow lips pops out as it kept on growing and growing until it then stops.

Sonic: I was hoping to expect something big, not small.

Yoshi: Lot of beanstalks you find in the Mushroom Kingdom are always like this, except on my island they are wider with big leafs.

Amy: Will this thing really get us up there?

Mallow: It’s the only way up.

Starlow: Let’s all hurry! Who knows what the Smithy Gang might be up too up there!

Mario: Starlow’s right! We-a-need to move!

The whole gang then begin to climb the beanstalk like climbing up a ladder as Mario jumps up onto it and climbs in lead followed by Mallow, then Sonic, then Yoshi, then Shadow, then Amy and Luigi while Tails and Starlow fly to follow them up.

                                                                        *5 Minutes Later*

A moment later, Mario and the gang were continuing to climb their way up the beanstalk just as they soon notice that it stopped to show that a floating structure in the air blocked it from growing any further. Mario then jumps off the small beanstalk as he lands on a cloud which his feet were able to touch just as the others join him.

Sonic: Whoa! You can even stand on the clouds? This is what I call this world awesome!

Amy: It’s like something out of a dream!

Mallow: You’ll be amazed once you see my homeland as it always stays afloat in the sky!

Shadow: Let’s keep the chit-chatter and focus on getting to Nimbus Land!

Luigi: Yeah! So what-a-now since the beanstalk can’t-a-grow any further?

Mallow: We use the big on over there! (What Mallow points at to everyone’s’ shocked looks was the bigger beanstalk which was standing before them as they all except for Shadow and Mario fall down on their backs or faces before getting up.)

Sonic: You mean you just wasted some of our time getting to this small one to reach the real one? We could have just gotten over to the big one quickly and started climbing!

Mallow: Oh yeah! About that… We also planted bramble weed around the beanstalk to be used as another barrier to make sure those who can fly walk up to our home un-expected. The small one I just got you guys to use was what I call, my secret passage!

Sonic: Serious? Oh! Well err… great work on leading us to it there, kid!

Mario: Let’s go! We have to hurry!

As Mario takes lead, he and the others make their way over to the big beanstalk while using the clouds as well as tall flat mushrooms as steps jump over too. Once the group was on the big leafs of the big beanstalk, they begin to make their way up as they climb the vines and jump from leaf to leaf.

Luigi: This is the biggest beanstalk I’ve ever climbed!

Yoshi: Whatever you do, don’t look down!

Luigi then turns his head over to look down below him as he could see how high he was as he then gulps in fear; deciding to turn away as he continues to climb with Yoshi still following him.

Mario: You know Mallow, I’m-a-surprised how you now have something so big that leads all the way up to your home!

Mallow: It grew below my home a few years back when the royal Beanbean Family came to have their kingdom and ours unite and would offer each other piece.

Mario: I remember them! Me and Luigi came to their homeland one time when they needed our help due to crisis they had at one point. Prince Peasly and many people we met there sure we’re a big-a-help in defeating this witch named Cackletta and her sidekick, Fawful who we defeated not too long ago to!

Mallow: Wow! You bean on so many adventures without me! I’ve always been keeping tabs on you when reading the newspapers on your recent heroics!

Sonic: I guess that what makes him a great guy! A lot of adventures he sure has which I have yet to hear.

Tails: I’m kind of jealous actually! He and Luigi must have been on so many quests than we had!

As everyone kept on climbing the beanstalk by the vines and leafs, they were nearly halfway to the top as all around them started to cloud over like walking into a foggy mist as it was getting hard to see. The wind was also kicking up as it felt strong which then had Starlow get caught in the gust until Yoshi was able to grab her with his tongue and pulls her back before grabbing hold of her.

Starlow: Thanks Yoshi!

Yoshi: No problem!

Starlow: I think we might have a problem as we fight through this storm!

Mario: How much further, Mallow?

Mallow: Almost there! As long as we hold on to the beanstalk the cloud barrier won’t push us away!

Amy: I feel as though as I want to head back down now!

Tails: No place to go but up I’m afraid!

As the group continues, Shadow then stops for a second as he looks over to the cloudy scene all around him. He then caught a glimpse of something in the shadows behind the clouds as it flew by fast. The others behind then stopped to notice where he was still.

Yoshi: Why’d you stop, Shadow?

Shadow: I guess it was nothing.

Luigi: Nothing what?

Shadow: Never mind! Let’s just keep moving.

In front up ahead with Mario tacking lead after jumping up to another leaf, something in the shadows behind the thick storm clouds flies by again which makes a drifting sound which catches Mario’s attention. Just then, something came bursting out of the clouds and bites off the leaf Mario was standing on as he falls, but manages to save himself by grabbing onto the side beanstalk as all the commotion has caught everyone’s attention to notice what was going on.

Luigi: MARIO!!!

Mario: I’m-a-alright! Don’t-a-worry!

Sonic: What was that just now?

Tails: Whoa! Here it comes again!

As the same thing comes flying in, Sonic and Tails jump up to another leaf quickly.
Mallow: Oh no! Not now!

Coming in all directions around the beanstalk were big creatures that could fly just as a few stopped and hovered in mid-air to revile themselves as giant overweight-looking red-shell Koopa Paratroopas with puffy cheeks.

Luigi: WHAAAAA!!!

Yoshi: Giant Paratroopas!!!

Mallow: Not just any Paratroopas, Heavy Troopas!!! They fly around the skies of Giant Land and have a diet for vegetation. Father tells me that they fly around beanstalks to eat the beans from them.

Mario: If we stay here, we might-a-end up being their lunch. We need to keep climbing.

Doing what Mario suggested, the gang all kept on climbing up the beanstalk while avoiding the Heavy Troopas that came flying in to take a nibble at the big plant by biting off its leafs and bean stacks. The big flying Koopas also hit into the beanstalk which made it shack as this also made it hard for the heroes to climb further.

Amy: Are they trying to throw us off?

Starlow: I hate to be eating by a Koopa again!

Shadow: THAT’S IT! (He then jumps from the side of the beanstalk just as a Heavy Troopa was coming as he then gives it a hard Axe Kick in the head which knocks it out before landing on its head and jumps off to grab the side of the beanstalk.)

The other Heavy Troopas saw one of their kind fall as they then look back at Shadow with looks of anger which also caught the gang’s attention.

Mallow: No! Don’t try to attack them!

Shadow: You’re too late to tell me that, kid!

Tails: We should keep moving before they try to attack us!

Sonic: Tails! You, Amy, Mallow and Starlow go on ahead!

Amy: But what about you?

Sonic: We’ll keep these fly boys at bay as long as we can to catch up with you.

Mallow: Once we reach to the very top pass this barrier, they won’t follow us any further. Follow me you guys! (Mallow takes lead as Tails, Amy and Starlow follow him by jumping up from leaf to leaf.)

Starlow: Be careful you guys!

As the Heavy Troopas charge in to attack, Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Sonic and Shadow prepare to fight as they use the leafs on the beanstalk as safe ground to stand on as the enemies come in fast as they dodge by jumping away to another leaf.

Shadow: This won’t take long!

Shadow then uses his teleporting ability to reappear near the Heavy Troopas and attacks them with his fast speed to knock them out of the sky and takes out one more with a fully charged Chaos Spear attack. As a few land on the leafs and sides of the beanstalk, the others begin to attack as one tries to snap at both Yoshi and Sonic, but misses as the two sift to each side of the big winged and bash into it with a hard Spin Dash and Yoshi Tackle. Mario then moves in to perform a Jump Punch which uppercuts the Koopa up high as it falls on its back and slides off the leaf; falling off the it. The other Heavy Koopa then jumps off from the side as it attacks by body slamming on the heroes who move out of the way and jump up to each small leaf they could find to stand on. Luigi was not fast enough though as he falls off the leaf and panics as he tries to get to a small leaf by flapping his arms to fly, but still falls anyway as he screams.

Mario: LUIGI!!!

Luigi: MARIO!!!

Luckily, Luigi lands on another big leaf as he slides and manages to catch the edge of it before falling even further as he is launched back upwards by just halfway as he lands on a another big leaf by bursting from under it as he got himself stuck. He then manages to pull himself out of the leaf as he shakes his head to get a hold of himself. He then notices by his left that there was a floating ?-Block as he then clicks his fingers in having an idea (Saying “Oh Yeah!”) as he then runs up to the block and jump under it to hit it. A new looking Power-Up item then pops out which looked like a flower that resembled a white fluffy cloud with dotted eyes. He then jumps up to the top of the block and grabs the Cloud Flower as he then suddenly transforms after a puff of white clouds which now shows him with his overalls all white colour as well as his hat all looking puffy and fluffy like real clouds with a bit around his neck. After showing off a pose, three small clouds with dotted eyes appear besides him. Back up above, the others fight off the rest of the Heavy Troopas by tackling into them by the belly as Sonic, Shadow and Yoshi tackle into them. As for Mario, he uses the shells of the big Koopas to step on as he jumps to take a few out who came at him by using his Hammer to bash them away. As Mario lands on the back of another Heavy Troopa, he jumps up high and then uses Ground Pound which forces the wings off the Koopa’s back as it falls along with Mario. Just then while Mario was falling, he is then suddenly caught by a small cloud with eyes as it turns out to be Luigi who was doing this with his Cloud form just as he shows up by riding the cloud as Mario was glad to see he was alright. The Mario Bros then use the clouds to make their way back up fast. Back with the others, Sonic uses Bounce Attack on the side of the Beanstalk to wall jump as he repeatedly attacks a Heavy Troopa before he gave the final strike by straight kicking into its belly before jumping back from it onto a leaf to stand on. He then notices in-time that another Heavy Troopa was coming as he jumps up to avoid getting rammed by it as he then Axe Kicks it on the head which knocks it out as it falls.

Sonic: There’s just no end to this! (Just then, Shadow lands in next to him.)

Shadow: Getting serious, eh?

Sonic: There’s just so many of them in one tight place! (He then looks up to see how Mario, Luigi and Yoshi are handling the Heavy Troops themselves.) We need a plan! I’m fast on my feet but not so fast with my brain! You have any bright ideas?

Shadow: I think one. Light Attack good enough? (Sonic then gave a smile as he knew Shadow had one good idea that would work.)

Back up above, Yoshi jumps from one Heavy Troopa to another as he also kicks ones that kept coming at him to snap. He then uses his long tongue to wrap around one and then begins to roll himself forward with all this strength as he then throws the Troopa which is knocked into another. With Cloud Luigi’s help, Yoshi then lands on one of the clouds he has just as he and Mario came up to join him.

Luigi: I say it’s-a-time we get out of here!

Mario: (Looks over to where he could find Sonic and Shadow.) Hay guys, I think it’s-a-best we… WHAO!!!

What went pass the Mario Bros and Yoshi just now was both Sonic and Shadow who were using Light Speed Attack to finish off the remaining Heavy Troopas as their fast mid-air blistering speed knocks the big Koopas away before they both collide with the last one and break apart its shell; showing its shame as it falls with blush cheeks. Both Mario and Luigi then manage to grab both Sonic and Shadow separately as they then head back to the beanstalk and make their way into the thick cloud where the big plant could reach. Once inside, Mario and his team soon came popping out from where the tip top of the beanstalk was as they land safely on the surface of the cloud which also surprises Sonic as he looks below his feet.

Sonic: Where are now?

Mallow: Inside the Storm Cloud Barrier. (The team looks over to see that Mallow along with Starlow, Tails and Amy have been waiting for them as they walk their way over to their friends as they stop.) We should be safe now! My father says that not even the Heavy Troopas can fit through that small hole into the barrier. If they tried going into the storm, it would blow them away! Hahaha!!!

Starlow: We’re glad you guys could make it in here after we did!

Sonic: First a giant hungry plant and then a flock of giant hungry turtles! What’s next to think we’re its meal?

Yoshi: I don’t like the thought of myself being eaten.

Mario: So then Mallow, shall we head straight up? We got to get to the Nimbus Kingdom as fast as possible if we can save your folks!

Mallow: Yes Mario, you’re right! We should continue heading up for home. Follow me everyone!

As Mallow shows the group the way, they first jump up onto cloud steps which then leads them to a wider cloud which shows to have red Jump Pad with a white smiley face on it. There was also a road lead out from the big cloud with a wooden sign put up.

Tails: So where do we go from here?

Starlow: Is it that way?

Mallow: No, that way leads to my family’s hot springs. (This surprises Luigi with shocked eyes.)

Sonic: Hot Springs? That why I feel the air so warm all of a sudden in here!

Mallow: Because the barrier is up, the steam gets trapped in here with the walls of wind pushing back.

Shadow: You Nimbus people sure make use with weather. Is it really in your power to control nature?

Mallow: Control nature? I’m really sure what you mean, sir. Wait! I can’t waste time by being a tour guide. We have to hurry.

Yoshi: Hay, where’s Luigi?

Just then Luigi’s voice was heard as Mario looks over to hear where it was coming from. It turns out Luigi had already went over to the hot spring clouds as he could feel the steam in the air around. He then was about to jump in until a hand was placed on his shoulder and heard an “Hmph” sound as he has his eyes  look backwards as he could see that Mario was standing behind him tapping his foot not very amused. Loud banging sounds could be heard from where the others were waiting as Mario then comes back over to them with a fully dressed Cloud Luigi being dragged by him with ropes as he wines.

Mario: Let’s Go!!! (He then jumps up onto the Jump Pad along with Luigi as they are pushed upwards.)

Yoshi: This comedy act has really got to stop! (He then follows by using the Jump Pad to make his way upwards just as the others then follow him by also using the Jump Pad except for Starlow who levitates to catch up with them.)

                                                                            *Nimbus Land*

Inside the storm cloud barrier resting on a single big white cloud was a town with houses made of big thorn bushes with blue and purple striped curtain doors while in the centre stood a pink and white palace with four towers surround a big one in the centre. Just then, Mario and the others came bursting out from within the surface of the cloud as they land safely and check their surroundings.

Sonic: So is… this Nimbus Land?

Mallow: That’s right! It’s my home. My real home!

Mario: (He walks a bit further before stopping as he looks left and then right as he felt un-easy.) It’s-a-quite! Too quite…!

Luigi: With no daylight, I feel this place is giving me the heebie jeebies.

Sonic: There’s not one of Smithy’s goons around, so how bad could it be?

Shadow: Wait!

Tails: What is it, Shadow?

Shadow: I hear something coming this way!

Starlow: Quick! Everyone in that hut over there!

The group then make it over to the nearest thorn bush hut as they open the curtain door and make their way in before closing it to cover up from sight. What soon comes passing by was a red Shy Guy-like being riding a pogo-stick which resembled a big dagger.

Yoshi: Is it clear, now?

Mario: Me no know!

???: (Gasp…) It’s you guys! You’re here as well!

As Luigi and Mallow become startled by the voice, the others turn around while on guard to face whoever it was also in the hut. Out of the shadows walks out a familiar cream coloured rabbit girl in a red dress with a little baby-blue flying creature while also with her comes a big purple cat person wearing a brown belt and was holding a fishing rod while also on top of his head was a little green frog with a tail.

Amy: Cream…! Cheese…! And Big…!

Cream: We’re glad to see you came back, Amy! Even Mr. Sonic, Tails and Shadow are with you!

Big: Hi Everyone!

Sonic: Hay there, Cream! Boy, are we glad to find you guys all safe and sound.

Mallow: Hay Mr. Cat, is that a frog on your head?

Big: Yep! He’s my pollywog pal, Froggy!

Mallow: May I take a closer look at him, please?

Big: Okay, sure! (As Mallow walks over to Big, the cat gives him Froggy as the young Nimbus Prince holds him.) You like Froggy?

Mallow: I like frogs! I grew up with my grandfather who’s a frog himself. Well he’s not practically my grandfather, he just raised me when I was young.

Cream: Hay! Isn’t that the Mario Brothers who are with you, guys?

Sonic: Yeah! They’re with to help stop this Smithy guy and help get the Chaos Emeralds back!

Mario: Righty! That’s why we’re-a-here!

Luigi: Is it only you people who are-a-here?

Cream: Yeah! We went into hiding when Amy left to find help.

Mallow: Glad she did! This is my home town and it’s been taken over by the Smithy Gang.

Shadow: So then… how do you suppose we take it back from them then, kid? Also we need to locate the Emerald they are hiding here as well!

Tails: He has a point! We should begin forming a plan.

Starlow: Hay Mario, remember the device the Prof; gave to us back at his lab? See if it’s able to locate the Emerald’s location!

Mario: Oh yeah! I need to start using this more! Let’s see…

On the 3DS Emerald Radar, it then projects a holographic image of Nimbus Land which then shows small fading light inside the pink palace.

Tails: It seems to show that the Emerald is located inside that big pink building.

Mallow: That’s the Nimbus Palace! It’s where me and my family live in. Also I think they and my people may have been taken to the lower dungeon hall.

Yoshi: If I may ask, what’s all that stuff being blown out of the Palace?

Mallow: That’s the Cloud Making Machine which generates more clouds to keep the Cloud Barrier forming around our home to protect us from enemy threats like I told you all earlier. Now that the Smithy Gang has it up, we can’t get any help from the outside since it blocks our communications to everywhere else.

Sonic: do you know whereabouts in the place it’s being powered by?

Mallow: Well where it’s coming all from, we created a big container of water which is heated up from underneath to form a boil so that the steam rises and forms into clouds which are then blown out by a big fan which then creates the leading tower. Then with a bit of work from our magic, we form it all into a round storm cloud covering the kingdom inside so that nothing from the outside could get in. The only safe way we got in was by the beanstalk.

Luigi: So then err… What’s the-a-plan?

Starlow: Well… since we know that there are a lot of Smithy Troops here on the cloud, we need all that we have to take them on. We’ll also need a lot of help in beating them. You have strong solders in your palace?

Mallow: My guards have been well trained, but they we’re all beaten by leader of our enemies!

Starlow: You also said about your Kingdom and the Beanbean Kingdom being united. Does that mean they could help us?

Mallow: I’m quite sure, but with the barrier up, we can’t contact them.

Sonic: Here’s what I think we should do, so everyone come in close. (Everyone comes in close as they listen to Sonic.) So here’s what we’ll do! We need to split into teams of three. One will go after the Emerald, another will go and help release the prisoners while the other will try and shut down the Cloud Machine.

Mario: I think me, Yoshi and Shadow will go in and look for the Emerald. First we’ll draw the Smithy Gang’s attention to lure them outside while you all go into the palace and do the other things!

Mallow: I take the task to help my people out.

Amy: Me, Cream and Big can help you with that part. No way we let you go in alone!

Mallow: Thanks Miss!

Sonic: Then I guess this leaves me, Tails, and Luigi to deal with the machine.

Luigi: Yeah! I’ll-a-go with him to help stop the machine so no need to have-a-me deal with all the fighting!

Sonic: If trouble comes to us, we fight our way through it!

Luigi: Oh…

Starlow: I’ll go with Mallow to help as well. So I guess that settles it then.

Mario: We’ll also need Power-Ups to help. I think there should be a store in this town still!

Mallow: Yeah there is, just a few huts from this one!

Starlow: It seems all clear outside! Let’s head there first before we commence the plan!

                                                                          *Nimbus Palace*

Inside the palace, there was a facility made out of machinery as a big round-shaped tank stood while around it where hand railing paths where many underlings of the Smithy Gang were working on it and keeping it in check. Inside the tank shows that there was bubbling water while at the very bottom showed read hot heat being made which causes the bubbling. Above the water then shows the steam being made while overhead was a big air fan which was sucking it up through a tube; making it all go towards the outside. Meanwhile within the throne room, many of the ivy vines growing in the walls of the palace are suddenly burnt to a crisp after a red metal hand had touched them.

???: This ivy is infesting the place! What kind of people are these cotton balls for letting their big house become a green house? I should not be caring anyhow since this whole cloud will become a perfect base for Lord Smithy! I was even surprised this was the home to one of our enemies since we got here and took it over! Oh how I remember back then… Years ago in the Mushroom Kingdom…

A flashback then shows a few years back in one of the Mushroom Kingdom’s small towns where many Toads were living normally until one comes into scene running in panic just as the town was then attacked by underlings of the Smithy Gang which were Shysters who are led by a figure who had a red roundish head with white hands and green feet as he held onto handles of a giant knife with floating eyes as it bounces like a pogo stick. As many of the Shysters begin rampaging the town, one was about to land it’s sharp blade on a Toad citizen until it was then kicked away by the timely arrival of Mario who then lands after kicking the Shyster away as Mallow also comes by and helps the citizen up. Mario and Mallow then continue to fight off more Shysters while on their way to the castle as they later arrive and storm in after saving the Mushroom Minister and the other castle Toads before heading into the throne room to confront the leader of the Shysters. After a tense battle when Mallow uses a Lightning Strike attack on the leader, Mario finishes it off with his Hammer attack as the leader is then blown up with nothing left but the head and the half broken dagger which became lifeless. Back in the present, the figure in the shadows is reviled to be the very same robot that fought both Mario and Mallow years ago as he still gains his metal head, but has a new humanoid body which was red and yellow and was more advance looking.

Mack: If I ever see them again, I’ll burn their bones which will become ashes to be buried away in the soil.

                                                                            *Nimbus Land*

Back with Mario and his team, they had already begun to move out as they make their way to their first stop which was the item shop located nearby as they make it over to one bramble hut to another to hide from being detected by the Smithy Underlings. As Mario, Yoshi, Starlow make it across to one hut, Luigi trips as the others panic until Yoshi gets him over quickly with his long tongue before a Mad Mallet and Shyster spot him after turning around to see what made a sound. Sonic then passes by the two enemy guards with his speed which confused them and got their attention while Shadow appears behind them and knocks them out with a hard punch for each of them. Tails and Team Rose also follow the others while Amy helps out with her ability to become invisible as she, Sonic and Shadow knock out more guards for the others to make their way across just as they finally reach to shop and head inside.

Starlow: Well here we are! Find what you can so we can begin our plan.

Mallow: I have to save my people! If something has happened to them, I’ll never forget it!

Mario: Don’t you-a-worry about a thing Mallow! We-a-all got your back!

Sonic: Let’s take what we need everyone!

As Mario and the gang look around the empty shop, they manage to find and pick up useful Items such as Mushrooms, 1-Up Mushrooms, Fire Flowers and many more as the main fighters take their share. Mario then notices a Cloud Flower which he picks up and then uses it as he then become Cloud Mario just as Luigi comes over, looking intrigued by his brothers Cloud form; knowing that they both now have Cloud Powers.

Sonic: So are we ready for this or what?

Mario: I’m-a-ready!

Luigi: Let’s-a-go!

As everyone walks back outside, they look over to the Palace just as they could see the front entrance which was a big wooden door built onto the pink walls.

Starlow: Let’s get into positions everyone!

Sonic: Let’s go, Tails! You too, Luigi!

Luigi: Oh yeah! Coming!

Starlow: Mallow, let’s get ready!

Mallow: Yes! Let’s do this!

Amy: Wait for us you two!

As Sonic’s Team and Mallow’s Team move to their positions, Mario, Yoshi and Shadow walk out into the open where a few Shysters where standing just as they notice the trio coming their way.

Shyster#1: Huh? Who are you guys? What are you doing out here?

Shyster#2: Are you hidden folks who came out of hiding?

The three did not say a word as Shadow steps in and stops as he then charges up some energy in his hands together and unleashes a Chaos Spear attack which hits into the Shysters and later the front door which is then knocked down. Mallow gave a wide eye shock while he peeped to see Shadow’s attack while also noticing his Palace doors being taken down.

Starlow: Um… Don’t mind him or his scary power, he just does what he thinks is necessary and…

Mallow: That-was-AWESOME!!! Did you see how he was able to blast the door down like that? I got to try that with my lighting powers!

Amy: This kid is way too excited!

Starlow: I guess so…!

As the dust clears, a single Shyster survived the attack as it looks back to where the enemy had fired from.

Shyster: Wha… What kind of magic wilder are you? Just you wait here a few minutes, because we solders of Mack will jab through you three.

Shadow: Then tell your leader to send in more, or else!

Shyster: All Solders come in! All Solders come in!!! We have an emergency situation here! Intruders have entered Nimbus Land and are attacking our base. We need all unites here to stop them. This is no lie! This is no lie!!!

Just then coming from out the entrance to the Palace, many Underlings of the Smithy Gang such as Ninjas, Mad-Mallets and Shysters all come running out and begin to prepare their attack while Mario, Yoshi and Shadow stay on guard and get ready to fight as they went ahead and begin. Cloud Mario then uses one of the three Clouds to turn into a big one as he then hopes on and rides it just before he then takes out many of the Underlings in his way with punches and kicking combo attacks. A few Ninjas jump up as they throw hordes of knifes at him. Luckily, Mario then uses one of the other clouds to grow big and block the incoming knifes as they get stuck onto the cloud before vanishing in a puff. Shadow then appear from where the Ninjas were in the air as he knocks them away while teleporting to each one while the last one his grabbed by Yoshi’s tongue before being thrown into more underlings ahead who all then get knocked into a hut. The Shysters then jump into to attack Yoshi who dodges out the way of their landing in before jumping to avoid their Drain attacks which were fireballs the Shysters could spit out at enemies. Yoshi was able to grab one fire ball with his tongue and holds it in before unleashing a fire breath attack on the robotic Shy Guys which burns them down. As Mario, Yoshi and Shadow fight off the Smithy Underlings, the others in their group watch from a hidden distance.

Tails: I think now is the best time to move in while they distract them!

Sonic: Then let’s move in!

As Sonic and Tails move out, Luigi notices a bit late as he panics before he begins to catch up with and follow them.

Starlow: Luigi and the others are already moving in! Let’s go as well!

Mallow: I’ll show you the way to the dungeon. Just follow me!

Mallow’s group also moves out as they along with the others make their way into the Palace while Mario and his team are left to deal with the Underlings to keep them distracted from unwanted attention.

                                                                          *Nimbus Palace*

Back inside the Palace while in the throne room, a Ninja opens the doors and bows down as he begins to speak with its leader.

Ninja: Sir! We have reports from outside patrol that intruders have been spotted in the village!

Mack: What? How could anyone have gotten in to Nimbus Land with the Cloud Barrier up and running? No one could ever get through it! Hmm…? Any description on the intruders?

Ninja: No sir, but we will be given more details when reported in!

Mack: You go and observe them! I have a feeling that I may know who be smart enough to make it into Nimbus Land.

Ninja: Sir?

Mack: The young prince has decided to come back for his people. I suppose I should be on my way to greet him. He will be so surprised when he sees me again. This time I will make him vanish just like a real cloud when it’s out of rain water by the heat! (The scene then moves down to his chest to show a glowing yellow gemstone placed inside it.)

Who would of thought that it be one of Smithy’s commanders who has taken control of the peaceful cloud kingdom of Nimbus Land? Now our heroes have begun their battle to help Mallow take back his home. Will Mario’s team be able to hold off long while the others complete their tasks in saving the Nimbus People and finding the source of the Cloud Barrier? What does Mack have in plan?
