SMBZ Smithy Saga Ep 5

                                                                           *Starting Gag*

In a field of grassy plain field with green hills in the background while the sky is yellow, Mario is waiting under a ?-Block just as the loading bar finishes loading and then notices it was time. He jumps up and hits the block from underneath. The scene then zooms out after a voice was heard which came from Professor; Elven Gadd who then takes out his DS Computer and pushes some buttons on it. Where Mario was standing, two big robotic arms with white gloves came with the one in front of Mario holding a slingshot while the other behind him grabs him. As Mario begins to act nervous, he was placed in position after the left hand placed him in the strap of the slingshot the right one had. As E-Gadd gave the word, the left hand lets go as the slingshot fires Mario ahead as he was sent flying.

The scene is moving up-right as Mario was still sent flying ahead at fast speed until he was out of the scene.

                                                                       Super Mario Bros Z

Narrator: Last time on Super Mario Bros Z, after our heroes returned to the Mushroom Castle in the Mushroom Kingdom, Sonic explains to Mario and his friends of how Smithy had managed to get 6 of the Chaos Emeralds as well as the Master Emerald. A while back, Sonic’s world was under attack by the Smithy Gang who had also kidnaped many of Sonic’s friends as well as the small animals. As Team Sonic head out to their base on an island for a rescue mission, Team Dark and their G.U.N. forces also made an attempt to attack the island as Shadow and his team were then confronted by the Factory Chief and Gunyolk. After being able to defeat both enemies, Shadow also finds that the Chief was using a Chaos Emerald which was what made the ninja cyborg so powerful. Later as Sonic and Tails soon find and free their friends, Knuckles tries to get the Master Emerald back from Smithy, but was stopped and pushed aside by the mechanical king’s unknown minion. With no time left, the Master Emerald soon created Chaos Control which transported everyone including the island base to Mario’ world. After Sonic told of his back story, Mario decided that they will help the hedgehog and his friends once again as they leave to first find Professor E-Gadd who might be of some assistance.                                                            Return of the Cloud Prince and the Valley of Piranhas!

                                                                              *Toad Town*

After leaving the castle, the Mario Bros, Yoshi, Sonic, Shadow, Tails and Starlow were walking down the streets of Toad Town on their way to Professor E-Gadd’s Laboratory.

Tails: I gota say, the town and its people sure seem in good spirit today.

Luigi: It always is! That’s why the Toads here love nothing more but the good life.

Mario: Down this way!

As the group make a right turn down the lane, they passed by two Toad Houses and soon arrived out town while on a path leading ahead was an advance looking building.

Sonic: I’m surprised the little old guy hasn’t changed location since the first time we were here.

Luigi: He has other labs which his assistances keep watch over. One in Boo Woods and many other places they’re located at.

Shadow: How about we walk our way in already instead of talking about someplace we never planned on going at all?

Mario: Shadow here is right on one thing, we need to find out from the Professor quickly.

As Mario’s group continues to walk ahead, they soon stop in front of the door of the building just as the plumber then presses the doorbell which makes a familiar tune. Just then, a camera pops out high above the front door and looks down at the heroes. Through the camera’s vision, it scans each one of heroes before it then finishes and pops back in just as the front door soon opens up for the team as they walk right in.

Inside the building was lots of high tech as R.O.B. Robots and other sorts were doing their jobs while Professor Elvin Gadd himself was looking onto his DS Computer until the presence of Mario’s team then arrives as he turns his attention to them.

E-Gadd: Ah! Mario, Luigi and Yoshi, it is good to see you all again after a while. Oh! Sonic and Shadow are here too. Gust she was not kidding after all.

Sonic: You knew we were coming Professor?

E-Gadd: Her highness, Peach informed me just as you all left the castle, so I’ve been expecting you to arrive shortly.

Tails walks up to E-Gadd: Wow! So your Prof; E-Gadd? I gota say, you sure have a talent for high tech!

E-Gadd: My! It’s not every day I have one fan of my work! Ohohohoh!!!

Sonic comes over with Mario: This is Tails! He’s my best buddy and has a great talent for machines.

E-Gadd: Really!? What sort of things have you built?

Tails: Planes, robots and other neat gadgets me and my friends can use thanks to my I.Q. of 400!!!

E-Gadd: Sounds very much like myself when I was a lad!

Mario: Anyway Professor, we were hopping if you could help us locate the Chaos Emeralds which are back in this world again so we can stop Smithy and his goons!

E-Gadd: Yes! The Princess has told me of what Sonic here has explained to you all. We must make haste if we are to find the emeralds and keep your little friend there safe from any of the Smithy Gang knowing.

Starlow:  Yes! I have been entrusted with the Star Rod. We must not let Smithy know of its whereabouts and only have him think the Star Spirits still have it even though I’m uneasy with the idea.

Luigi: So how about it, Professor? You still have that Emerald Radar?

E-Gadd: Err… about that…! I… well… I actually took the old thing apart and used it for extra parts in making a new device I’ve had ideas on.

This answer then got everyone except for Shadow to fall to the floor.

E-Gadd: Do not panic my friends. I can make you a new one in no time flat, but I need a Chaos Emerald’s energy source to study and do so.

Shadow: Will this do Professor? (Holds out the Purple Emerald in his hand.)

E-Gadd: My Gadds!!! Well thinking ahead there Shadow! I shall begin with creating a new radar that will be of more use then the old one. Pass it here so I can begin please!

As Shadow throws the Emerald over to E-Gadd who catches it in his hands, the others soon get back up as the professor walks away to begin his work.

Tails: Can I help too, Professor? I’m also good at this stuff.

E-Gadd: I could use a bit of assistances. Sure why not?

Both Tails and E-Gadd soon walk away as the others begin to wait.

                                                                       *50 Minutes Later*

A few moments later, the heroes were still waiting while trying to be more patient. Just as Luigi then pokes on one of the control desks in the lab, he gets electrified as this surprised the others. After the zapping stops, Luigi rubs the black ash off his body.

E-Gadd: ALL DONE!!!

E-Gadd and Tails soon came back into where everyone was waiting as they all got up.

Starlow: So did you finish it?

Tails: Yeah! Come on over here and check the new latest model compared to the Professor’s old design.

As the others came to where Tails and E-Gadd were, it then shows in the professor’s hand that the gadget was black DS as it soon turns on.

E-Gadd: I give you all the “3DS ChaosEgaddularRadulator!!!” 3DS Emerald Radar for short though!

Sonic: So this is like the original Emerald Radar?

E-Gadd: Sort of, but is very more high advance. Watch as I press the A Button. (He then pushes the A Button as the 3DS then shows a digital compass on the bottom screen while on the top screen shows a holographic image of an area filled with clouds and a big plant coming from underneath.) This new device will not only tell where and how far a Chaos Emerald is located, but will also show an image of the area it is at.

Yoshi: Wow, wherever that place is, it’s showing clouds.

Luigi: Which-a-means the Emerald is in the sky.

Shadow: Possibly where those robots are as well!

Mario: Hay… I think I know that place.

E-Gadd: It’s confirmed that your first emerald hunt’s location is likely to be at Nimbus Town in Sky Land. It’s a kingdom where cloud people called Nimbus live and is ruled by a beloved royal family. It would seem as though you will need the Sky Pop MKII for this one.

Tails: Sky Pop MKII?

Mario: It’s my old biplane I used on one of my adventures back then!

Tails: Wow, really!? I want to see it now.

E-Gadd: One moment at a time lad! Oh and Mario, Luigi, I also kept a few Power-Ups to do some tests on, but since now I know the kingdom is in need of your heroics again, I suggest you take what you can and get the Sky Pop ready.

Mario: Way ahead of ya there!

E-Gadd: Now everyone, let’s have the Mario Bros here get things ready while we wait outside.

As E-Gadd first gives Mario the new Emerald Radar, he and the other heroes leave the lab, Mario and Luigi then get ready by first walking into the room at the back and pick up what the Professor had ready for them such as Fire Flowers, Ice Flowers, 1Up Mushrooms and more by storing them in a bag and then take an elevator which goes underground just as they find their yellow biplane, the Sky Pop MKII as they jump into their seats and put on their leather flight helmet and goggles. The platform the plane was on is then being pushed up slowly after the alarm goes off.

                                                                                *Outside*

Outside where the others and the Professor were waiting, the Sky Pop is risen out from the ground as the platform stops on the level of the surface.

Tails: So this is Sky Pop? It looks a lot like the Tornado!

Sonic: Guess you and I aren’t the only brothers with a plane, huh?

E-Gadd: Well my friends, she’s all good with enough fuel to get you to your first destination.

Yoshi: We sure own you a lot on your help Prof!

E-Gadd: No need to praise me, Yoshi! I’m also happy to help the good people.

Shadow: That’s fine, Prof! Now then… let’s be going!

Sonic, Tails, Yoshi and Shadow then board the Sky Pop with the two Hedgehogs taking their seats on the wings while Yoshi and Tails hold tight on the tail.

Starlow: Thanks for everything Prof! (She then moves towards the Sky Pop and take place where Luigi was sitting.)

E-Gadd: Now then, hold on tight everyone! (He then uses his DS Computer to active the take-off system with two tall robotic arms with gloves rising out of the opened hatches in the ground as the left on grabs the plane and pulls it back on a big sling-shot the other hand was holding up.

Sonic: Here we go again…! (Nervously sweats.)

E-Gadd: Arrivederci everyone!!!

The sling-shot then launches the plane off at fast speed as everyone freaks out at first and tries to get the plane working just in time as it pulls up and flies straight. It then makes a U-turn to fly back in the direction they wanted to go.

Starlow: Oh my! That’s what I call take-off!

Tails: No way I’d ever get the Tornado to fly-off like that!

Mario: Guess we’ll just have to get-a-use to it!

Shadow: Are we going in the right direction, do you know?

Mario: Oh yes! Let’s see… (He then looks at 3DS Emerald Radar as it shows a map of the emerald’s first location in one spot while also showing a glowing icon moving to where it was which was themselves.) Yep! We’re heading in the right direction. Let’s-a-go everyone!

On a bird’s eye view of the world map, Mario and his team flied south-west over the Mushroom Kingdom, across the sea until they reached the other side of the continent. A Para-Beetle was coming their way Luigi was then hit in the face by it so hard; it made him fall off the plane and crash landed. As he gets up and looks, he sees the Sky Pop getting further away as he panics and runs to catch up just as he then comes across with a Bob-omb Buddy with a cannon and asks it to give him a boost to which the Bob-omb allows as the plumber jumps into the cannon, aiming him to the directing his team was head to as he is then launched out of it; flying high into the air until he lands on the plane back with the others just as they soon were about to reach their destination high in the sky.

                                                                               *Sky Land*

Luigi: Are we there yet, Mario?

Mario: Almost! And I think Nimbus Town is over there!

Not far from the heroes, a big dome made entirely out of moving grey storm clouds could be seen in the distance as it also shows half the top of a plant reaching it from underneath the clouds down below.

Starlow: Judging from the radar, I think Mario is right! We’re here!

Sonic: Think you can land the Sky Pop in there?

Mario: It might get-a-bumpy, so hang on!

Mario then moves the plain towards the big cloud dome, but once they enter the strong winds they felt were tough as lightning bolts were also very active as the heroes begin to struggle.

Tails: Whoa! The weather is at high rates in here!

Starlow: I don’t like this! Mario, turn the plane around, I don’t think it can make it through.

Mario: I can’t! I’m losing control of the plane and can’t get it to turn.

Sonic: WHAT!?

Just then, a strong gust of winds make the Sky Pop lose control and was forced off course as Mario and the others were then sent flying out of the plane as the wind blow them out of the clouds as they and the plane then fall to the earth below while screaming. As they panic, Mario then notices the bag of items that also fell out of the plane came loose as he then gotten Luigi’s attention before pointing to the Power-Up items falling out of the bag. Luigi knew what Mario had in mind as they both try to move closer to the items just before they grab one each and use their powers. What Mario grabbed was a Super Leaf as he was now Raccoon Mario while Luigi also grabbed a Bee Mushroom and became Bee Luigi. With the ability to fly, they both then grabbed as many of their friends as Tails also helped out by using his twin tails to fly in propeller style. Mario grabs hold of Shadow while Luigi and Tails grab Sonic and Yoshi as Starlow also gets a hold of herself by levitating while everyone slows down their free falling as they descend slowly to the earth below the clouds.

                                                                            *Giant Land, Bean Valley*

On the world below was Giant Land, a contrary roaming with giant versions of many species such as Grand Goombas, Big Koopa Troopas, Colossal Paratroopas and many others while a few normal size creatures could also be seen throughout the land. The area of present is a fall-like orange vegetation garden where brown grass like hills stood all over as well as brown leaf plants. Just the in the air a little far in the distances, they sky patrol could be seen falling aimlessly just as it then crashes and explodes. On a brown grass covered hill, someone saw what had happened and then walks off towards where the crash site was. Meanwhile, Mario and his group soon land safely a few feet away to where the plane had landed.

Sonic: Whew… That was cutting it close back up there! Is everyone here alright?

Shadow: I no need for your concern!

Mario: I think so, but I can’t say the same for our plane.

The group turn to notice that the plane was now in a wreck after crash landing as it gave off smoke and berserk engine noises much to the Mario Bros’ disperse as Luigi only broke down in a fountain of tears.

Luigi: Our beautiful plane… (Sob… Sob…)

Tails: No need to worry, I can get it fixed up and working again when it comes to these things. It might take long though until we’re ready to fly again.

Shadow: Even if the plane is fixed, it might not make it through those clouds again! We’ll be free falling a second time.

Yoshi: I agree! And we don’t even have parachutist for that!

Starlow: Looks like we’ll have to find another way up there! (She and the croup look high up above the evening clouds while also in the distances a big beanstalk grow high up all the way through the clouds.

Mario: I think I remember this place! This is Bean Valley!

Yoshi: Bean Valley?

Mario: It was one of the places I travelled through on my old adventures back when Smithy was invading the world! I remember from here I, Peach, Bowser and two other friends of mine used that Beanstalk over there to reach the Nimbus Kingdom.

Luigi: So what you-a-saying is that if we climb the Beanstalk, we’ll make it up there without trouble?

Mario: I think it’s-a-the only way if I’m sure!

While the others looked on at the Beanstalk ahead, something was moving in the ground as it then pops out quietly behind Luigi and then bites his behind as he then jumps up high in pain before landing back down on his behind.

Tails: Luigi, are you okay?

Sonic: What was that?

They turn to see that the thing that bit Luigi was a Piranha Plant, a red white pokey dotted flytrap with teeth.

Yoshi: A Piranha Plant!

Luigi: (Gives of steam in anger!) What’s the big idea biting me? (He then takes out his Hammer and then slams down on the Piranha Plant.)

Suddenly, the same Piranha Plant pops out in front of the heroes as they turn to see; mean that it ducked and cover from Luigi’s Hammer Slam. It then gives off a strange noise in the air as another one appears behind the group. More Piranha Plants as well as other sub-species such as Fire Piranha Plants, Ptooies, Wild Ptooie Piranhas and Piranha Beans all show up by bursting out of the ground and surrounding the heroes as they (Except for Shadow who takes guard.) panic.

Tails: What’s going on?

Starlow: My guess is that we may of landed in a wolf’s den!

Yoshi: Or a land pool of Piranhas you mean.

Luigi: What do we do? What do we do? WHAT DO WE DO!?!?

Shadow: We didn’t come here just to be dinner! I’m out of here!

Shadow the uses his warping ability to disappear as he was then behind one of the Piranha Beans and then kicks it hard in the back which sends it flying and hitting into one of the hills.

Mario: Right! New plan, attack!

Mario and the others then speared out and begin to fight off the Piranha Plants as a few of the plant monsters were able to get their roots out of the dirt which acted like feet as they rush towards their pray. Luigi manages to jump and stomp on a few Piranha Plants on the safe parts of their heads while avoiding the mouths just as he lands near two Ptooies who shoot iron spike balls at him, but are shot back at them with the use of his Hammer swings just before he turns around and whacks one Piranha Plant behind him who almost attacked him. Meanwhile with Sonic, he uses his speed to avoid the Spike Balls and Pokey Poms the Ptooies and Wild Ptooie Piranhas fired at him just as he them spin jumps in slow motion just as a Pokey Pom was launched up close to him as he then comes out of his spin and kicks the Pom back at the Wild Ptooie Piranha who shot it at who then got knocked away just as Sonic then uses Homing Attack on the rest of the enemies except for the last one in line as he gave it a hard straight kick which sends the Ptooie flying away. As one Fire Piranha Plant fires a Fireball at the Hedgehog who did not see it come, Yoshi steps in and uses his tongue to grab the fireball and launch it back at the enemy which burns it to crisp.

Sonic: Thanks!

Yoshi: No Problem!

Meanwhile, Mario uses his Raccoon Powers to fly as Tails joins him as they both attack with Hammer Swings and Energy Ball which takes care of a few. One iron ball hits Tails out of the sky as he fall and lands just as one Piranha Plant comes to him and was about to eat him, until Mario comes in with Aerial Kick to knock it away as he helps Tails up who then tanks him. Their battle is taken to the ground as they take out in coming Piranha Plants and Piranha Beans with punches and tail spin attacks. As Tails takes flight again, Shadow comes into scene and joins Mario as he jumps and takes out some more Piranha Plant enemies with Chaos Spear. As Shadow turns, he then launches 4 more Chaos Spears that only moved slower just as he warps and knocks 4 of each enemy into them which defeats them quickly. Meanwhile, Luigi uses the Power of his Bee Power-Up to fly as he then attacks more Piranha Plants with his Cyclone Spin and then uses his Sting Drill attack by using the Sting tail while spinning around fast like a drill straight into the enemies which beats them. Yoshi and Sonic team up as the Dinosaur uses the Hedgehog in his Spin Ball state like a Dodge ball to hit at the Piranha Plants before they both then land then use Spin Dash and Egg Roll to ram hard into enemies in their way just as they then skid into two more enemies and send them flying. Suddenly, the earth begins to rumble as everyone losses balance and trip and fall as tall thorn covered vines burst out of the ground just as a Giant Piranha Plant rises and gives off a load roar as it then grabs everyone in its thorny vines. Mario and Luigi also lose their power-up forms. Starlow was the only one not captured as all she could do was watch helplessly.

Starlow: Oh no, Mario and everybody’s in trouble.

The giant Piranha Plant then has Mario moved closer to him as he lifts him up just as it opens its mouth; ready to eat him as the plumber panics.

Luigi: MARIO!!!

Shadow: That darn plant…! I said I did not come here to be dinner! Chaos… Blast!

Shadow then charges up with red aura while using the Chaos Emerald he has as he brakes free from the vines with Chaos Blast as he then warps and Jump Dashes past the vine that held Mario which is then cut off as the Big Piranha Plant screams in agony which causes it to let go of the others.

Mario: Mamma-mia! Thanks-a-lot there, Shadow!

Shadow: Don’t thank me just yet! That thing is still going to come after us if we don’t stop it!

The Big Piranha Plant was getting a lot angry as it was about to attack everyone one again until suddenly, everywhere is then shaded over as a huge bolt of yellow lightning then strikes down on the Big Piranha Plant which was so powerful as it shook the earth. As the dust cloud clears, the Big Piranha Plant was taken down and covered in ash as well as all the other Piranha Plants who got caught in the blast.

Luigi: Wha… What just-a-happened?

Yoshi: That big bolt of lightning knocked that thing out in one shot!

???: You…!? It can’t be…!

Mario: Hmm?

Sonic: Hay! Who’s there? Come on out who and wherever you are!

Behind the heroes, one of the tall piece of brown glass shacked as the heroes noticed and turn around to be ready for who or what was about to come out.

???: That face! It really is you! MARIOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

What came out of the grass was a strange looking child who almost looked like a walking white marshmallow with black eye dots, a piece of purple hair curled on the forehead and word blue and white pants with a brown belt with a blue egg-shape belt buckle and had on purple shoes. The little guy then runs into Mario as he falls on his back with him hugging him while in tears of joy.

???: Mario, it’s really you! I’m so happy I can almost cry! Whaaa…!

Luigi: Which is why he is crying…!

Mario: Wait a minute! You’re Mallow; my old friend, Mallow!

Yoshi: Hay I also remember you! You were with Mario back then during the Mushroom Derby on my home island!

As Mallow stopped crying, he gets off of Mario as the two get up on their feet just as the little guy turns to Yoshi.

Mallow: Oh yeah! You’re Yoshi from Yoshi’s Island! It sure has been a while.

Luigi: You just said your name is Mallow! I think I remembered Mario here telling me about his adventures with you back then.

Sonic: So Mario, is this kid a friend of yours, then?

Mario: Ah-ha! Mallow here helped on my quest to stop Smithy’s first invasion on the Mushroom Kingdom. We had good terms in defeating the Smithy Gang back then.

Mallow: Oh! I see you have more new friends since we last saw each other then, Mario. Hmm… from the look of the guy who looks like you in green… you must be…

Luigi: (Thought) *Oh my…. He knows who I am…! Yes!*

Mallow: Lu… Lucy?

Luigi then suddenly falls onto his face in disbelief as mallow did not get his name right just as he gets up with an annoyed expression while stomping his foot down a few times while full of steam.

Luigi: Don’t you know who I am kid? It’s not Lucy it’s-

Mallow: Luigi! Now I remember! Mario told me once your name was Luigi!

Luigi: It took you until now that you realized what my name was!?

Sonic: Well nice to meet you kid! My name’s Sonic.

Shadow: I’m Shadow. No questions asked.

Tails: I’m Tails, Sonic’s best friend here.

Starlow: And I’m Starlow; A Star Spirit from Star Haven.

Mallow: Wait! A Star Spirit you say? Oh how lucky to find one all the way out here! Now I can go save everyone!

Sonic: Save everyone?

Starlow: Excuse me Mallow, but aren’t you a Nimbus from Nimbus Town which is all the way up in the clouds!

Mallow: Yes, how do you know?

Mario: We were on our way over there, until we found your home being blocked off by a big ball of storm clouds that kicked us out and crash landed here.

Mallow: Oh! You guys must have been blown away by the Cloud Barrier!

Shadow: Cloud Barrier?

Mallow: It’s Nimbus Land’s new defence system that has been constructed ever since me and Mario here defeated Valentina and Dodo to make sure that my home would never be under harm’s way ever again. Thing is though, it’s now being used to keep everyone back home locked in and keeping any help from entering!

Mario: Has something happened to Nimbus Land we should-a-know about Mallow?

Luigi: Well let us in-a-on it!

Mallow: It happened a few days ago actually.

As Mallow recalls about his recent witness, the flashback shows images of what Mallow describes in his story.

Mallow: Everyone back in Nimbus Land was going so well as me and my family were enjoying the life. You know, just spending time and having fun. Suddenly though, we got a call from our guards that something had suddenly appeared in town and begun causing trouble. As we went to see what was happening, our town was being attacked by those who looked like minions of Smithy. Ninjas, Mad Mallets, Shysters, those who I remember fighting on my adventures back with Mario. The one leading those guys looked very scary and tall, he even took out our guards. My father also tried to fight him, but was also kicked aside, so I had to take it upon myself to stop the leader guy. I was doing fine beating him until he then used a strange kind of fire power while using a yellow gemstone!

Sonic: A yellow gemstone?

Shadow: It must be one of the Chaos Emeralds this Smithy person has!

Mallow: A Chaos Emerald? What’s that?

Starlow: We’ll explain after you explain your story.

Mallow: Oh right! Anyhow, as with that gemstone, they guy using it pulled the jump on me as if the bright light from an incoming vehicle was closing in and would crash into me. Next thing later, I found myself hanging on the leafs of the beanstalk leading up to Nimbus Land just as I looked up and saw that the Cloud Barrier was activated. I thought at first to go back and help everyone, but suddenly I knew that I would only end up in the same way that guy gotten me again, I didn’t wanted to leave everyone, but I had to find help. (The images stop showing as Mallow finishes his backstory.)

Tails: I guess the new Radar the Professor gave us was not lying after all. Our first Chaos Emerald is up there.

Mallow: So Mario, now that I’ve found you, will you please help me again to save my family and home?

Mario: Mallow, you and I have been long-time friends ever since we said our good byes after saving the world. I or should I say… we will do anything to help get your home back from the Smithy Gang!

Mallow: (Suddenly hugs Mario again.) For real!? Oh thank you Mario! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Sonic: So Mallow, you know any way of getting up to Nimbus Land by safe route?

Mallow: (Stops hugging Mario.) The only safe way back up to my homeland is if we climb the beanstalk. It’s attached to the cloud Nimbus Land is on. When we enter it, we’ll be safe from the rough winds. That’s what my father told me. I’ll lead the way for you all to the beanstalk, but we should be careful on our way. Piranha Plants in this area have become very active recently when it came here.

Luigi: What came here?

Starlow: For now everyone, let’s just head to the Beanstalk.

Mario: Right then, let’s get-a-going! Lead the way Mallow!

As Mallow takes lead to show the way, Mario and the others begin to follow him onwards on the brown dirt path of Bean Valley. As Mario’s group with Mallow helping them guide through the Valley, they come across many things such as Item Blocks which contained some coins and also encounter a group of hostile enemies like Piranha Plants as they then battle them in RPG Style with Mario attacking the Piranha Plant in the middle by punching it which defeats it just as Luigi the attacks with his Hammer on the Ptooie on the left followed by Sonic who then attacks with Spin Dash which defeats it. The Ptooie on the right attacks Shadow, but missies as the Hedgehog attacks with Chaos Spear which defeats it. The heroes move on as they come to a Warp Pipe with Mallow jumping in first followed by the others. Once underground, they walk alongside a stone-built hall with a river of water running down just as they get into another RPG fight with some two Buzzy Beetles and big one in the middle. Mario attacks the Buzzy Beetle on the left with a double jump followed by Yoshi who then uses Grand Pound on it which defeats it. Luigi then uses his Jump Attack on the Buzzy Beetle on the right followed by Sonic who then uses Arial Kick which defeats it. The Big Buzzy Beetle attacks Mario with a Shell Spin which does quite a bit of damage on the plumber. Mallow then takes his turn to use HP Rain on Mario which heals him up as Shadow then attacks the Buzzy Beetle with Chaos Spear which only did little damage. Mario then uses Jump on the Big Buzzy which flips it onto its back as the others then use their attacks on it which defeats it quickly as they move onwards and soon come to an orange springboard which they then use to jump onto one at a time as it springs them up and out of the underground and back on the surface. Once they came out of the Warp Pipe, (With Luigi only to lose balance and fall on his face before getting up.) They then turn to the right and walk onwards.

Mallow: The Beanstalk is just a little further. The next Warp Pipe ahead should lead us to it.

As the group and Mallow kept on walking, Stralow suddenly halts as everyone stopped and notice.

Starlow: Wait! Hold on a second!

Sonic: What’s up, Starlow?

Starlow: Can you guys here?

Yoshi: Hay, I can hear something nearby!

Mario: Sounds like… chomping noises.

Mallow: Let’s go see!

Mario: Wait up, Mallow!

As Mallow and the heroes run ahead, they then stop as the noise was coming behind two tall grass stalks. As Mario and Luigi move the tall grass out of the way slowly by a little, they then saw what nobody would have suspected. In a wide open clearing of Bean Valley, loots of Piranha Plants of all kinds as well as two big Dino Piranhas were gathered around while at the back in the centre, two Funk Flowers hold up two big green leafs until they then removed then from each side as something with its back turned then turns around to show itself to the rest of the Piranha Plants. It was a Piranha Plant itself, but was big and resembled more to a Piranha Bean with a remarkably large head and a comparably small body. It has a round, protuberant belly with a large belly button, has leaf-like arms, stubby legs, green lips, and was wearing red pants with white polka dots, matching the coloration of his head which has a ring of yellow petals with orange rims around it. The big Piranha Plant gave a loud roar as the other plants gave off louder chomping sounds as if it was more of cheering.

Tails: Looks to me like we stumbled near a plant’s den!

Shadow: We should just move on and keep finding our way to Nimbus Land!

Mallow: Actually… through here is the way. Look at the far back over there!

What Mallow was pointing to was another Warp Pipe near the far right coroner that was just left there un-guarded by anyone; even the Piranha Plants.

Mallow: That’s the Warp Pipe to the beanstalk.

Sonic: Are you sure? It couldn’t be just another random pipe like the last one we went through.

Mallow: No, that’s the one alright.

Tails: I don’t think we’ll be able to get to it without causing attention to those plants!

Sonic: I agree with Tails! We’re just going to have to take a long way round.

Mallow: I don’t know… It might take us long to get there!

Mario: Hay! I know that big Piranha Plant! It’s Petey!

Luigi: Eek! You mean Petey Piranha? Uh-oh!

Yoshi: What’s he doing here?

Sonic: You guys know that big plant?

Starlow: Wait! Listen I can hear it talking!

Petey: Ho-hohohohoho!!! My little lovey, for a while now, this place has been decided to become our new territory in honour of his evilness Lord Bowser, for I… Boss Petey will lead you all to victory and our great fest of yummy meat for all of us! (The other Piranha Plants gave more chomping noises of joy as some also clapped with their leaf-like hands.) Also, we will promise the Koopa King in finally sinking our teeth into that meddlesome Mario. For a while now, he has always been able to defeat us in his way somehow as we could not get our chance to eat him. Ooooooh how I wish I could get a taste of him! One of those ways he is able to defeat us by the way is with the use of his own Power-Ups, but when and if we come across him again, the little sweetie red pie will have what’s going to turn on him. Oh-hohohohoho!!! (The Piranha Plants cheer again.)

Just then, a Piranha Bean coming up from the left walks its way over to Petey which caught his attention and begun communicating with the big Piranha Plant.

Petey: You found us all some guests? Good! Everyone will be so delighted to know. Bring them here. (As the Piranha Bean walks away, Petey turns her attention back to the rest of the Piranha Plants as she gives another speech.) Well my little darlings, it would appear we have caught guests for our evening meal. Oh and here they come now!

Just then, 5 Piranha Beans were carrying in tall wooden stick poles with 5 different kinds of other species tide up in vines on them. The first pole held a Geckit; a brown gecko-like creature with a yellow fin on its back and had spinning eye balls. The second pole held up a Monty Mole; a mole-like species. The third pole held up a red Koopa Paratroopa; a Koopa with wings. The forth pole held up a Rat Funk; a cyan coloured rat with a blue nose and eyes, pink ears, white gloves and blue shoes. What the last pole held up appears to be a pink, female, anthropomorphic hedgehog in a red dress and boots; one that was very familiar much to the heroes’ shock.

Tails: Sonic, look! It’s Amy!

Sonic: Amy!? That means you, me, Shadow and Knuckles weren’t the only ones who were transported here after all.

Luigi: What’s-a-worse is that it looks like she’s in trouble!

Petey: Ah! What delightful preparations we have for our dinner tonight!

Amy: Dinner? You mean me? Eek! No way am I becoming a snack!

Just then, Petey walks up to where Amy was held up as he then takes a close look at her much to the young Hedgehog’s worries as she begins to sweat.

Petey: Oooohh! This one looks perfect to be my own meal!

Amy: (Gulp…)

Petey then takes the poll from the Piranha Bean and holds it up with Amy still tided on.

Petey: You may all have the rest of the other meals. I will have this meat-made strawberry as my main course.

Amy: WHAT!? NO!!! Put me down you overgrown weed! Help!!!

Yoshi: She’s going to get eaten!

Sonic: Oh-no she’s not! (He then speeds off ahead.)

Mallow: Mr. Sonic, wait!

Just as Petey was about to put Amy into his mouth, Sonic comes in with a flying Stomp Kick into the big Piranha Plant’s belly as it made him drop the pole with Amy on just as the vines are then suddenly cutting off with her falling just as Shadow appears out of warping and catches her as they land. Sonic then comes up to them to check on Amy.

Sonic: Amy, are you alright?

Amy: Wha… Sonic!? (She quickly gets up and hugs him tight.) Sonic! You’re okay!

Sonic: Take it easy!

Petey: Hay, who’s the pesky rodent who interrupted my meal time!

Just then, Mario jumps into scene just as the others also come in and gave determine looks at Petey Piranha.

Mario: Petey Piranha! What’s-a-you doing here? Causing trouble?

Petey: (Gasps) Mario! Luigi and Yoshi as well!? Well I must say how clamours it is of you to join me on my today’s menu!

Luigi: Has Bowser sent you here to stop us?

Petey: If Lord Bowser had told me you were coming here, I would of known by now. I just came here to gather new Piranha solders to his army as you can see!

As the heroes looked behind, they notice that the Piranha Plants are looking a lot hungry. Luigi was given a frightened expression as he hid behind Mario who only gave a sigh.

Petey: With all us Piranha Plants here together, we will become unstoppable, you will never be weeding us from a garden anymore!

Mario: If gathering more troops for Bowser is what you’re really doing, then I’ll just have to stop you.

Shadow: You and your plant brethren better flee while you can if you don’t what to get your roots pulled out. Besides we’re on a tight schedule ahead of us, so move it!

Petey: (He then gives off a loud roar.) No way you little black burnt piece of pork! With a lot of you here and now, you’re looking mighty tasty! My darlings, let the fest begin as we eat these pests!

Hearing Petey’s words, the many Piranha Plant species begun to move with some getting their root-like feet out of the ground while others just went under as they move towards the heroes.

Mallow then looks over to see that the other hostages were still tied to the poles being held up by the Piranha Beans.

Mallow: Those other guys are still tied up!

Sonic: Tails, Amy, you two go help those hostages and get them to a safe place.

Tails: Right, we’ll do that!

Amy: But I want to stay and help fight these plants!

Sonic: They’ll need more help from not just one pair of hands, but two. Just hurry and get them outta here, Amy!

Amy: (Sigh…) Alright, fine… For you anyway my darling!

Tails: Come on Amy, let’s help them.

Amy: Coming!

Starlow: I’ll help as well!

As Starlow, Tails and Amy go to help the 4 hostages, The 5 heroes and Mallow take arms as they get ready for battle.

READY…

FIGHT!!!

As the rest of the heroes spread, Mario decides to take on Petey Piranha himself who then sends his Fink Flowers to attack the Plumber as they go below the ground and then come out one of them near where he was standing. The first Fink Flower attacks with its wiping thing leafs, but Mario back leaps as he then does a forward kick attack into the Fink Flower which knocks it and its roots out and sent flying just as the other one comes out a few feet behind the plumber who notices it just as it was about to blow out Pollen Nap. Mario jumps out of the way and jumps again towards the Fink Flower and Hammer Swings it away with his hammer. Just then, Petey jump into scene which made Mario be lifted off the ground in shock as he turns around as well as keeping his guard up. Petey then attacks by swinging his leaf arms like punches to hit Mario who blocks, ducks and moves backwards to avoid getting hit as he then attacks Petey in the belly with a close combo of punches just before doing a Super Jump Punch in the chin which forces Petey upwards in a rolling state and lands back on his feet as Mario comes flying in with a punch. Petey however, blocks with his leaf hands as he then swings his head to knock Mario. As Mario lands on his back, he opens his eyes as he then panics before jumping back up and jumping forward out of the way as Petey crashes in. Mario then kicks Petey in the back before he then does mid-air kick which strikes the Piranha Plant’s head which sends it flying. Meanwhile, Luigi and Sonic team up to take out Petey’s minions as they fight back many Piranha Plants with Hammer Swings, and Kicking Combos. They use their tag team Fast Ball attack with Sonic going into a Spin Charge while Luigi uses his Hammer to swing and hit the Hedgehog at more Piranha Plants 3 times while the last one has the Plumber jump up and hits Sonic hard who then tackles into a Fink Flower which knocks it back. Sonic then uses Spin Dash on more Piranha Plants in his way just before using Bounce Attack and finally the Hurricane Kick attack before landing back on the ground as he Skid Kicks into more Piranha Plants just as he also pass by Shadow who had two Piranha Plants on both sides preparing to attack, but are the blocked and backed off by the Hedgehogs Chaos Nightmare by grinding both fists at his side, before ascending into the air a little and creates small violet and purple pulsating spheres around each fist that repels the enemies. He the uses Chaos Control to warp up into the air where the Piranha Plants knocked out by Sonic were sent flying as he then sends them flying again by warping to each one and kicking them away. He then warps out of mid-air just as thunder strikes the rest of the Piranha Plants as it turns out the attack came from Mallow who used thunderbolt. He then attacks Piranha Plants that came at him while punching them as well as using his Froggie Stick to whack the plat monsters away. He then whacked something on his right as it felt hard just as he looks up to find that he had hit one of the Dino Piranhas which then gives of screeching roar as Mallow panics in fright and turns tail to run as the Dino Piranha gives chase. It was then suddenly stopped by an Egg that was thrown at it which came from Yoshi who comes running in before jumping and attacks with his wiping tail attacks on the monster’s head before attacking it rapidly with Flutter Kick and bashing it down with Ground Pound. Suddenly, Luigi could be heard screaming as Yoshi looks behind and is then shocked as Luigi is sent flying just as he crashes into Yoshi; making fall off the Dino Piranha he was on. The other Dino Piranha shows up which it turns it was it that sent Luigi flying back then. The Dino Piranha Yoshi attack gets back up as it and the other then had their purple heads turn hot red and acted a lot angry now as Luigi panic and goes behind Yoshi while shivering in fear. As one of the Dino Piranha give off another loud roar, something then flies into its open mouth as it is then swallowed up by it. However, the Dino Piranha begun to feel pain in its insides as whatever it was it eaten attacks before it then bursts back out of its mouth. It was Sonic who attacked it as he was then covered in green slime with Luigi and Yoshi looking disgusted by what he was covered in.

Sonic: Whoa! I totally did not see that coming! (He then turns to Luigi and Yoshi.) You guys alright?

Yoshi: We should be asking you that!

Luigi: Wha!!! They’re coming back!

The two Dino Piranhas were getting angry again and were about to attack the three until something unexpected happened as a huge snowman with a red bucket hat on top lands the two Dino Piranhas just it then increases in size before it then melts and vanishes with both Dino Piranhas knocked out and lying on the ground just as Mallow comes back into scene.

Mallow: Yeah! That otter cool those hot heads down!

Sonic: Wow! You mean that was you who summoned that big snowman just now?

Mallow: I have the power of magic to summon weather. That’s what we Nimbus People are skilled in!

Back with Mario, he attacks Petey successfully with his punches and kicks while moving forward in the air before doing an upper kick on the Piranha Plant’s chin which sends it flying up as Mario then jumps high up to following him. While up in the air, Petey then gets a hold of himself just as he sees Mario coming up at him really fast. He takes one deep breath for ten seconds as he then spits out a ball of brown Goop which heads straight down towards Mario just as he notices and panics as he moves back out of the way just as the Goop hits and lands on three Piranha Plants which causes them to transform into Goop-covered ones.  Just then, a Ptooie was kicked back which was by Shadow just as it got up and attacks him with an iron spike ball, but was kicked back at it by him as Shadow then uses the iron ball like a soccer ball to kick at in coming enemies coming from all sides, the ground or from the air. The Goop Piranha Plants then attack by shooting missiles of Goop at the Hedgehog who then kicks the ball away towards them which destroys the missiles and hits the three Piranha Plants which sends them flying away. Petey also crash lands in the spot where the Goop puddle was which is then blown away by the impact. The dust clears to show that Mario used his powerful Jump Stomp before he then backflip jumps off of Petey a few feet away just as the Piranha Plant gets up and gives off heavy breathing.

Petey: Huff… Huff… Huff… You… My Little Snack… Have gotten… a lot stronger than last time we both fought!

Mario: You should give up this-a-fight now, Petey! Let us through and we’ll let you and your cronies go back to Bowser!

Petey: Never! I can’t just show myself to Lord Bowser looking like this! He’ll just know that I’ve failed in beating you again. I will not accept it. You know what Mario…?

Mario: Know what?

Petey: Those Power-Up items you always use in defeating us high-rank members of the Koopa Troop. They would be better suited for use to use in hopes of being able to defeat you, which is why I found a way to finally beat you and make you my snack at the same time. Behold! (He then takes out 4 Fire Flowers.

Mario: Huh!? Are those…?

Petey: Fire Flowers? Yes! They are what you and your friends use to gain forms that let you create and control fire! Even Hammer Bros as well as my little Piranha friends use them to attack you with fire. Many only seem to use one Fire Flower to gain that kind of power, but what would happen if somebody used four at the same time…? Shall I show you to find out?

Mario: Wait! What are you…?

Before Mario could finish asking, Petey then throws the Fire Flowers up into the air as he then looks up and opens his mouth just as the flower fall in and are chewed up and eaten by him. Petey then then tucks his arms in as the camera then shifts to circle around him while the background is faded into darkness until Petey then lets out a really loud roar before a bright light engulfs him as the earth around then shakes and creates shock waves as everyone felt and took notice of what was happening.

Narrator: As our heroes begin their quest to stop Smithy and retrieve the Chaos Emeralds, it leads them into a run-in with one of Mario’s old nemeses, Petey Piranha who has a new trick in hopes of finally defeating the heroic plumber! Will our heroes make quick work to get out of this mess? And what terrible form has Petey taken of? Find next time… Super Mario Bros Z!
